Apprenticeship Frameworks

The foundation of apprenticeships.
Apprenticeship frameworks are used to assess the skills, competencies, and behaviours of apprentices in England and Wales. Developed by sector bodies, each framework contains "pathways" which outline the skills required for different job roles. As a skills sector body for pan-sector professions, we review and update these frameworks to ensure that they remain relevant and fit for purpose.
If you have any questions about any of the apprenticeship frameworks listed on this site, please contact us.
English Frameworks
The English framework library lists all frameworks under Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England (SASE). The library includes a range of Pan-Sector and Housing & Facilities frameworks.
Welsh Frameworks
The Welsh framework library lists all frameworks under Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for Wales (SASW). The library includes all Welsh Pan-Sector and Housing & Facilities frameworks managed by Instructus Skills.
Modern Apprenticeships
The National Occupational Standards (NOS) in this library set out the skills and competencies required of each Modern Apprenticeship (MA). This outlines the behaviours expected of a fully trained apprentice.
